In preparation for his forthcoming sophomore release (the Fess Grandiose produced "Crash" EP), Savant links with Peerless Recordings to bring you the leak series "Crash Course". Throughout the year 2011, songs will be released, that more often than not will feature a guest appearance from a talented member of the expansive independent music community. At the end of the series, Savant will release the "Crash Course Mixtape" which will consist of all Leak Series records plus 3 new songs and two exclusive remixes. The "Crash Course Mixtape" will be released August 20th, 2012.

Arizona resident, by way of Chicago, Gregory "Savant" Daggett has always possessed a passion for music and literary arts, ... more but wasn't exposed to hip hop until age 12. He became inspired to delve into the art after hearing Mos Def's "Black on Both Sides" and honed his chops in Chicago high schools cyphers. He's since dedicated himself to achieving the ever elusive sense of balance in the art form. less
